Driving licence verification for fleets and gig platforms
Before a driver moves your goods or your passengers, a DL check confirms the licence is real, current, and covers the vehicle class. Here is the workflow.

Validity and class
The core check: is the licence number real, is it currently valid (not expired, not suspended), and does the vehicle class on it match what the driver will actually operate: LMV, transport, motorcycle-with-gear. A private LMV licence does not cover a commercial goods vehicle.
Address and issuing RTO
The issuing authority and address help you place the driver and spot obviously borrowed documents. For platforms operating across cities, the issuing RTO is a useful field to store for support and dispute handling.
Re-checks and expiry alerts
A licence valid at onboarding expires on a fixed date. Store the expiry and run a job that re-verifies drivers 30 days before, so you can prompt renewal before they are driving on an expired licence and your insurance is void.
Consent and retention
Capture the driver's consent to the check in the onboarding agreement. Keep the verification result for as long as the driver is active plus your statutory retention window, then delete it.
