When a check touches Aadhaar-linked data (DBT status, PAN linkage), the consent you captured is the thing that makes it lawful. Capture it properly.
What a good consent record contains
The person's identifier, the exact checks consented to, the sources, the timestamp, the version of the notice shown, and the channel (web form, app, IVR). If any of these is missing, the consent is hard to rely on later.
Separate, specific, revocable
Consent to identity verification should be its own checkbox, not buried in a terms wall. It should name the checks. And there should be a way for the person to withdraw it, with a clear consequence (you can no longer offer the service that needed it).
