Why passkeys
Passkeys are phishing-resistant: there is no code to read out, no OTP to intercept, and nothing to type into a fake page. The cryptographic check is bound to this site, so a lookalike domain cannot use it.
What you can do with one
Use a passkey as your sign-in second factor, and to confirm sensitive changes like an e-mail change or account deletion. You can register more than one (a laptop and a phone) and remove any of them from your profile.
Set one up
Open your profile, find the Passkeys section under Two-factor and sign-in, and follow your browser's prompt. It takes about ten seconds.
